Presenter of Older & Reckless

The curation for each Older & Reckless programme is carefully considered to amplify and celebrate the voices of artists over 45. Artists are selected in recognition of those who continuously take risks, ask pertinent questions and dig deep while redefining destructive assumptions of age in dance.

BI-ANNUAL PROGRAM

Interdisciplinary
Exchange Residency

In the spirit of the continuation of lifelong artists developing their form and experimentation, this bi-annual program matches one lifelong dance artist with a peer artist of another discipline.

The artists are chosen in consultation with Moonhorse Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director and are offered a specific number of hours in studio together experimenting, collaborating and mentoring each other in their artform.

The residency includes Continued professional development for lifelong artists with an offer to develop their craft further and expand their network and voice and culminates in a casual public showing.

Artists who participate could potentially be considered for Crossing the Streams featured at our Older & Reckless show.

Community Partnerships

Moonhorse Dance Theatre holds an established leading role in the Canadian dance ecology. By working in partnerships with other organisations across the country we maintain a healthy relationship with the community by collaborating and supporting our fellow artists across generations.
